ABOUT

Paris

Blonde, blue-eyed woman with long hair smiling, wearing wine colored sweater.

Paris most recently performed at one of the most prestigious venues in the world, Carnegie Hall, on April 28, 2019. She joined an international choir of vocalists to sing choral music under the baton of GRAMMY award winner and internationally renowned composer and conductor, Eric Whitacre, in a concert produced by Distinguished Concerts International.

Additionally, Paris has performed locally around the Bay Area at spiritual centers, like Agape Bay Area Oakland: A Center for Spiritual Living and Brentwood Unity

Although I have never been classically trained, experimentation with sacred music and operatic pieces is something that has come into focus for me recently. I began working with a professional vocal coach approximately three years ago and continue to test the boundaries of my range, which appears to be mezzo soprano with capability of vocal extension into the G-, B-, and even A-ranges.

I take inspiration from wide and varied musical genres, including jazz and blues, folk, alternative, pop, and world music.  My favorite genre of music to sing is classical: romantic standards, broadway musicals, and inspirational spiritual music, anything that touches the heart or uplifts and exalts the spirit. During performance, my voice is known to summon profound emotion in an audience. I am eager to share my music with audiences both live and online.

In my private life, I am a past president of the Literacy Plus Council, an advisory board for the Literacy Plus Program of the Hayward Public Library – which helps adult learners to improve their reading, speaking and computer skills. As a personal ethic, I believe in philanthropy, volunteerism, and sharing both personal time and financial wealth with people who may not have had the advantages we have had.

I am engaged to marry and am the proud guardian of two beloved pets, a cat (named after Billie Holiday), and a dog (named Buddha).  I enjoy nature, yoga, spending time with loved ones, and all things vintage, including classic films, clothes, and music.

I am very much looking forward to a period of high creativity now and into the future!

"Paris' voice is imbued with a pure, honest and refreshing tone, a quality absent in many of today's overly affected vocal deliveries.  She sings with heart, sincerity, and unalloyed beauty."
